A: Yes, we are open to the general public as well as to the trade. Everyone is welcome to attend the weekly auction. We have a very diverse clientele. (back to top) Q: Where do you find the items for the weekly auctions? A: Kuehnert’s has several reputable sources. Many of our outstanding antiques are imported from France and Italy. Some of the more unique, one of a kind, art, antiques, rugs, and other home furnishings are consigned to the auction from local estates, collections, and businesses. (back to top) A: Prior to the auction or when you arrive; you will need to fill out a short registration form at the front desk at which time you will receive a bidder card for you to use during the auction. (back to top) A: You simply raise your bidder card when the auctioneer asks for a bid. The auctioneer will continue to raise the asking bid until only one bidder remains. The last remaining bidder will purchase the lot. (back to top) A: Absentee bidding is a method by which customers unable to attend the auction are able to bid. A "sealed" bid may be left on any auction lot prior to the sale. A member of our staff will bid on your behalf during the auction. (back to top) Q: Do you offer real time internet bidding? A: Yes. Periodically we host an auction catalog online of very special items that are made available to the public for purchase via real time internet bidding. (back to top) Q: When can I preview the items to be auctioned? A: We are open to the public Monday through Saturday. The best days to preview the auction are Wednesday and Thursday betwwen 9 -6. (back to top) Q: What payment methods do you accept? A: We accept all major credit cards, cash, or check (with proper identification). (back to top) Q: If I buy something at auction, how long do I have to pick up my purchase? A: As we have limited storage space, we prefer that your items be picked up the Friday, Saturday, or Monday following the auction. In the event that longer accommodation is necessary, please inquire. A: Absolutely! Consignment to the auction is a very effective method of disposing of excess or otherwise unneeded inventory. (back to top) Q: What happens when something at the auction doesn‘t sell? A: The vast diversity of our auction clientele insures that there will be a buyer for every lot. Everything sells. A: For the seller; We have found auction to be a more effective, more convenient, and less invasive, (No strangers in your home, please!), method of resale then the traditional "estate sale". We present and advertise the items available at auction in the best possible way, in order to obtain the best possible price.
